Steve Alms is the founder of 1887PR LLC, an international advisory and consulting practice that works with business owners, high-net worth individuals, and family offices to develop strategic plans and optimize planning solutions. Steve has over 30 years of experience helping clients develop tax, balance sheet improvement, and generational initiatives aligned with the client’s individual goals, working through an open and collaborative model that allows the firm to engage with the appropriate firm or expert to solve each mandate. A resident of the DC/Baltimore area for 60 years until 2024, when he moved to Puerto Rico with his wife and their constant companion, Brynn, a 13-year-old rescue dog. He is proud to have seven children who are fulfilling their individual dreams and living all across the United States. He received his undergraduate, law, and MBA degrees from the University of Baltimore. He is active in charitable endeavors both in the United States and Puerto Rico and enjoys riding his mountain bike, skiing, and now learning to surf.
Peter oversees project management and client servicing at 1887PR. His experience in managing large-scale multi-year international strategic projects and helping clients such as Philip Morris International, Porsche, Yankee Candle, L’Oreal, and Lindt allowed him to develop the skills necessary to manage large-scale projects for 1887PR clients. At 1887PR, Peter enjoys serving as a key point of contact for clients and managing projects from initiation through implementation. Peter has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations and Political Economy from Brown University. In college, Peter was a decathlete competing with the Brown University track and field team. An avid equestrian, he enjoys spending time developing his team of young horses and actively competing in the sport of showjumping.
